The race for the White House has begun in earnest, and the outcome of the 2020 US general election will have an impact around the world. There's nothing regarding primaries in the US Constitution, so the game play is determined by party and state laws.
Americans are talking about the general election in November 2020. There are people who doesn't care of election. Some are tired of politicians and broken system of Washington.Some wants new party other than Republican and Democrats.But some told they have no choice,so they are voting this year because they want to unseat President Donald Trump . It was interesting conversations I had with some of the registered voters who are Trump supporters, Democrats and Independent.
I asked one of the Trump supporter ,"why she supports Trump? What quality you see in President Donald Trump". She told " he got balls. That's why I vote for him." Another Trump supporter told me that,their pastor told to vote for Trump." If Democrats win, they support terrorists and Muslims." That's what their Pastor told to them. One of my friend posted in a Face Book comment that, his nephew got a telephone call from a pastor to vote for Trump. What the pastor told is,"if trump is not re-elected our churches will be destroyed and Bible will be burned.Now that is happening in California."
When I talked to registered Democrat voters they told they are tired of Democratic Party leaders and their establishment.They do not have genuine leaders to lead . Some of them didn't vote 2016 presidential election , but this time they will vote for whoever is the Democratic Party nominee. Only they want to unseat Mr. Trump out of White House. It is the same with the Independent registered voters. Independent voters mostly who are undecided told they definitely vote for any candidate who are running against Mr.Trump.The new registered voters who never voted before in their whole life are planning to vote on November 2020.
It is very interesting that most of them have no political agenda. All are tired of establishment. Most of the registered voters are looking for new comers who are millennial. Now Washington is administered by senior citizens. Mr.Trump is the oldest first-term president in the U.S. history, elected largely by older , white voters. Mr.Trump is surrounded by mostly senior citizens in White House. Same as in Senate and House like Mitch McConnel(77), Senator Chuck Grassley,(86), Speaker Nancy Pelosi(79), Bernie sanders(78). Joe Biden (77) who is the front runner for Democratic presidential candidate. For the past 30 years baby boomers have been running the show. This must be changed. In U.S. history Republicans maintain strong ties to religious voters; millennials widely reject organized religion and are more openly LGBTQ than any generation before.
"American Politics is still defined by the values and priorities of baby boomers. Love them or hate them, this much is true: one day soon, millennials(born 1981-1996) will rule america.They are already the largest living generation and the largest age group in the work force." Charlotte Alter wrote in her book "THE ONES WE'VE BEEN WAITING FOR"'. "'When it occurs, it may feel like a revolution, in part because this generation has different political views than those in power now.", she wrote. " Millennials are more racially diverse, more turned in to the power of networks and systems and more socially progressive than either Gen X(born 1965-1980) or baby boomers( born 1946-1964) on nearly every available metric. They tend to favor government run health care, student debt relief, marijuana legalization and criminal-justice reform and they demand urgent government action on climate change. The millennial wave is coming.Nearly 60% of Americans under 30 say they definitely plan to vote in 2020. The elections this year could tell us if it is already there.
